Join us for our 2nd annual PRIDE Dodgeball Cup as we celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of our dodgeball community!

This tournament is an active step forward for our dodgeball club to tackle the stigma associated with homophobia in sport and to promote a safe and inclusive sporting environment for exisiting and future dodgeballers!

This is a beginner friendly event! All fitness and experience levels welcome and wanted!  Don’t be shy, we will have a learn to play / rule orientation session before the tournament begins for all new players and teams, we promise you’ll leave with a smile and some new friends!

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

• 6v6 team – minimum 6 maximum 8 on a squad
• Register as a team OR as an indiviudal, pair, small group and we will create teams out of what we get!
• 7″ Foam Dodgeballs (they aren’t scary and don’t hurt)

COST:

• $200 per team
• $35 for indivudals who don’t have a team

For those who don’t have a team, we will send you an email prior to the event with your allocated team and a list of new friends who are on the team with you.

A donation option is available at registration with all proceeds supporting ACON, an organisation that help’s make the places where our community members live, work, study and play more inclusive of LGBTQ people, improving the mental health and wellbeing of our community through the reduction of stigma, discrimination and social exclusion.

Dodgeball is BACK!

We are SO happy to announce that dodgeball is returning and we can’t wait to see everyone again! Join us for some social friendly matches as we ease back into regular dodgeball. Learn the game if you are new or dust the rust off if you’re a regular. All fitness and experience levels welcome!

COVID-19 has seen a change in how we operate our sport, this means there will be new and evolving processes as we navigate towards ensuring a COVID Safe environment for our players, we appreciate your patience and understanding with us at this time.

We have LIMITED SPACES for our drop in sessions and players MUST pre register and pre pay to secure their spot so we are able to contact trace and stay within indoor gathering restrictions.

COST: $10 per person, per time slot.

TIME SLOTS: 7.15-8pm, 8-8.45pm & 8.45-9.30pm

SPACE LIMIT:  Spaces are limited to the first 12 PAID registrations per time slot to allow for a 6v6 match. Note: We have 2 courts running so there are 2x of each time slot available. 

FAQs

1. Can I register for more than one time slot?

Yes! HOWEVER we recommend starting out with one time slot in order to allow your body to adjust back into dodge, especially if you aren’t conditioned. We also want to give more people the opportunity to play. If we find that we are reaching capacity quickly we will consider adding restrictions so people don’t miss out. Until then go for it!

2. Can I register more than one person?

Yes! You can bulk register for your team or a group of friends by buying multiple tickets in the registration. You will need to reply to the confirmation email with the full name, phone number and email contact of each person so we have a record to mark attendance on the night.

3.What if I can’t make it?

Tickets are non refundable BUT you can transfer them to a different timeslot/session or have someone attend in your place if you can’t make it. If you want to make any of these changes please email Lauren at info@zanysports.com with the change at least 24 hours before the session so adjustments can be made. DO NOT register and no show without notice, remember you could be taking a spot of someone who wants to play.

Sydney’s first men’s & womens dodgeball league is here!

This league will be run as a DRAFT league in its first season. How this works is all players register individually into a pool to be selected onto a team. Players who elect to be captains this season will select players for their team from the pool of registrations. Selections will be done one at a time to ensure an even distribution of skill & experience levels across the teams. All selections are confidential and players won’t know the order in which they were picked.

Cost: $70 per player

Dates: 11th November – 16th December

Times: 7-9pm

Location: Riverwood Community Centre
